Start of the season 2018-19

The first clubnight of the season is on 3 September 2018 at Cambridge Regional College from 8pm.

Looking forward to seeing all the returning members, and perhaps some new faces, to prepare before the competitive season starts up again!!

It is important to get club registrations into Badminton England as soon as possible this year, so everyone is covered by the insurance and capable of playing competitively.  Please get your subs to Philippa as soon as possible.

End of the season 2017-18

The last club night of this season will be on Monday, 30 April.

Then following on is the club AGM which will be held on 14 May, at 7:30pm at The Bull pub, (11 Barton Road, Newnham, Cambridge, Cambs CB3 9JZ). There is a room upstairs that we will be using. On Mondays the pub does 2 for 1 on pizzas so the committee have decided that there will be pizzas provided to attendees. The pizza options will follow.

Please note that the AGM is the meeting that decides on how the club is run and what will happen next season. So, as a club member it is important YOU attend to hear and input into what happens next season. Please can you confirm whether you are able to attend or not.

After the winter season has finished Ingo is looking to run a summer badminton club, continuing on Monday evenings. However he needs to know that there will be enough people interested in turning up to know if it will be worth running. If you are interested in going along in the summer please can you contact Ingo on: ir279@cam.ac.uk.

Club AGM on 12th June at 8pm (Carlton Arms, Carlton Way, Cambridge)

This is a reminder of the Club AGM on 12th June at 8.00pm.  It will be at the Carlton Arms, Carlton Way, Cambridge.

It would be helpful to know numbers for attendance, please can you let me, or one of the committee, know if you are able, or not, to attend the AGM.

End of the Season

The last Hurst club night is next Monday, 25 April. The club is likely to start again on Monday 5 September but this will be confirmed nearer the time.

Ingo has offered to run a summer club on a 'pay and play' basis. If you are interested in playing through the summer please contact Ingo directly, so he has an idea for numbers/courts, on ir279@cam.ac.uk.

Also please note the starting time of the AGM is 7:30pm on 9 May at the Carlton Arms. This is the meeting where decisions will be made for how the club will run next season so it would be good for as many club members as possible to come along.
