We are a friendly club, although we are quite competitive! We currently have teams in the South Cambridgeshire League playing in the Premier division for Mens, Ladies and Mixed doubles, and other teams in other divisions too.  We have strong ties with the County teams.

We are one of the oldest and most successful clubs in Cambridge and have recently celebrated our 85th Anniversary! We typically have around 35 adult members, so there is a good mix of people and plenty of opportunity to be on court at clubnights.

We have an active Junior Club, which runs sessions before matches on a Friday night, and on Saturday afternoons. Please see the Junior Club page for details.

Matches are played on Fridays after the Junior Club. Club nights for adults are on Mondays and are of a high standard, but not so competitive. Club nights finish at 10:15pm and there is a contingent that is usually happy to go to the pub afterwards!

This is a reminder of the Club AGM on 12th June at 8.00pm.  It will be at the Carlton Arms, Carlton Way, Cambridge.

It would be helpful to know numbers for attendance, please can you let me, or one of the committee, know if you are able, or not, to attend the AGM.

Please come down and share your thoughts, have a drink and help us make next season a success.

Hurst Chair

End of the Season

The last Hurst club night is next Monday, 25 April. The club is likely to start again on Monday 5 September but this will be confirmed nearer the time.

Ingo has offered to run a summer club on a 'pay and play' basis. If you are interested in playing through the summer please contact Ingo directly, so he has an idea for numbers/courts, on

lease can all team captains transfer their remaining match fees to the Hurst bank account by 3 May, then Philippa can get the accounts ready for the AGM. (Bank details are at

Also please note the starting time of the AGM is 7:30pm on 9 May at the Carlton Arms. This is the meeting where decisions will be made for how the club will run next season so it would be good for as many club members as possible to come along.
